Resources for Graduate Students
As many of you have likely been following, the government shutdown has affected the distribution of funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and will likely result in funds being delayed, or completely halted. In addition to this, grocery prices are rising, and many of you are experiencing extra financial stress due to housing changes on and off campus.
We know that these circumstances can lead graduate students to experiencing additional financial stress and food insecurity. While GAU is constantly working towards securing better wages and support for grad assistants in the long run, we want to echo the Grad Student Association's message highlighting some resources that are available to you in the short term.
